Impression from the first excursion in 2001

The rather short trip on a sunny Sunday afternoon took me out of Zurich via the Sihltal and then up onto the Albis. This is where the impressive picture above comes from... I admit that I didn't have the camera with me right from the beginning - I decided that it would be worth to go and get it, and I think I was right.

Anyway, the way back was along the Turlersee (which doesn't appear on the map and I didn't have any time left for taking more pictures either...) and then past the Triemli hospital to the other side of town...

If you're interested in the route (as close as MS Autoroute Europe 2001 can trace it), clicking the image to the right will open a new window with the whole image (~60K)

Now, the above panorama (which was assembled with a test-installation of the application 'Photovista') can be looked at in various formats:

preview2.jpg   Slightly bigger than the above placeholder...

final.jpg   This is the biggest image published of this serie - I recommend saving it to disk and then viewing it with another application than the browser.
12390 x 1444 11'117K   big.jpg   The full size and the full (jpg) quality. If anybody should ever be inerested in this one, you'll have to get in touch with me.
